24v water pump . . .

I have waited 12 days for a water pump and it came today , it is wrong. just like the first three that turned up ! ford want 240 quid and I don't fancy parting. has anyone else had problems locating one ? I've been looking for over 3 weeks now . would anyone know where I could possibly get one ? the wrong one from Gremany was gonna be 125 pound , this price is a little more palatable.

Hi dan, sorry to hear of yor misfortune. I can only recommend the 'parts wanted' section to see if any members have any going spare? Sorry it ain't much consolation young sir, but if not you may have to put it on the christmas list. Will keep an eye out on ebay/local scrap yards if it helps?

The only place that sells a new BOB water pump is Ford. No cheap version out there sorry. They sometimes sell on ebay. The early 24V used the exact same pump as the 12v V6 which is what you keep ending up with.

Second hand i'm afraid if you dont want to part with the cash. Or a wee conversion to something cheaper, electric pump or back to the earlier set up.

I believe not allthough I could be wrong. I had to go Main dealer on this one. I had three different ones that were wrong, I guess 16v 2 ltr, 2.3 and 2.9 12v !
