Hi Craig, Someone in the dim and distant past used a leather dye on theirs, I seem to remember you can keep increasing the colour or dosage to match it to the original colour? No idea who it was though, will have a search

Stuart, I think you will find it was KEEF.... a Kent member who did his wheel with dye. IIRC he got the wheel which was part wood from a member on the site. I certainly remember seeing it at one of the Kent meets. Mike.

Intresting idea with the dye.Not a bad idea at all actually.I had thought about a scrap back seat but have come up with the usual problems...1 finding a pummice rear squab & 2 actually finding someone willing to sell me just a rear seat WITHOUT having to buy the rest of the interior for the bargain price of £225 (give you three guesses who that was ) .I have a reasonable spare steering wheel so i think i might give that dye a go.Thanks chaps.....Craig

The steering wheel in question was a wood/leather one which I built from a non cruise control one. It was sold to craig and then on to Keef who dyed the wheel to match the beige interior. He did a few other things too as I remember. I will see what photos I have baz

Hi Craig, I've used the spray on leather dye on the seats of my Imp to change them from grey to black. It worked well and lasted for a good few years before some of it started to wear on the bolsters. Frost do it but you need to send off a sample of leather to get it colour matched. It's called interior coat. http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8152&frostProductNa me=Interior+Coat+%28400ml%29&catID=21&subCatID=&FrostCat=InteriorTrim&FrostSubcat= Another option is to contact a company such as Woolies http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk They sell leather & vinyl and will happily send out some samples for you to see their colour range. Edgware also do leathercloth so should be able to supply samples too. Their website is www.rubbertrim.co.uk My spares car has a full pumice interior which is going in the TD, when I finally get around to it If a steering wheel shaped bit dissapears from one of my seats, I'll know you've paid me a visit Cheers Jim
