Bruce, There are two types of control. One is essentially a unit with a large aluminium Heat sink and the other has three resistors. Details of both are on the site and I will try and locate the diagrams/pictures. They are very expensive but you should be able to get one from a member or a scrapper.  Wink

HERE is the thermal fuse and Here is the HBC.

Thanks for that Mike, but my point is that on cc self diagnostics i get 07 which is HBC module, but local FMD cant seem to find it on comoputer, what they come up with is Resistor Assembly, do u think that is right part, also do u think it safe to get from scrapperHuh I suppose it depends how much, then may be worth it. How would i describe it if i try scrapper onlineHuh

Bruce, If it is the HBC module which I and Tompion have shown in the pictures hang on until the next Kent meet and I'll make sure I have one wth me for you to try. You know how Dave likes to get his hands dirty under your bonnet !! Grin. Have you removed it, a simple job, to check the type of unit?. Wink

gost.
The triple resistance unit, with three spring like windings is only fitted to Scorps without aircon or with straight aircon,it just controls the fan speed.Yours as you say will have the HBC unit.If you give jonnycab's number to Mr Ford,he will be able to give you the FINIS code, which may be the number you have.

If the blower seems to blow okay & you don't notice it completely cutting out, then I wouldn't worry too much about the 07 code. It may just be a small fault with the HBC causing it to (un-noticably) hiccup slightly every now & then  Smiley

If you want to try to find a new one try FINIS1017490 and they retail at over £100

good luck... there are several old threads on here about the HBC one even shows a mod that one member did where he improved the heat sink with great effect
