Hello all... Just recently there is a smell of petrol/ gas in my car. The car is a LPG run scorp so rarely use petrol the smell is a sort of mix of gas and petrol. Is it possible that the air con gas can smell like this a bit ?? Is bit stronger when the Air con is on i think. Is this a sign of a leak in the lpg system still getting 190-200 miles to a 56 litre tank in the boot from round town driving. thanks in advance

If you have any suspitions of LPG leaks you should turn it off and contact a registered LGP installers for a check up. It could be a smell from the aircon but if it was me I would have it looked at soonest.... if not only for peace of mind. the installation should be serviced yearly anyway which would find such a leak. hth Pete

I had a problem like this last year ,I dont have LPG .But I can tell you the smell of petrol was weak at first and after a few weeks got stronger and stronger .It was coming in through the vents or so I thought .It turned out to be a whole in the top of the tank .The only way I found this out was when you undo the filler cap you dont get that psssssss noise . might be worth a look .
