Am I right in thinking it is only the Cosworth that has three pipes on the top by the cap?

The ebay ads don't mention what car they fit so I've just checked my split 2.3 header tank that hasn't made it to the bin yet and can confirm it has 95GB-8A080-AF marked on it.

Yes, Cossie' is only with 3 pipes up top, but you can use a non-Cossie one on the Cossie by getting a 2 into 1 plastic bridge. The last coolant tank I had was a Cossie, and it went to someone on here, can't remember who. If someone is really stuck, you could easily fit something like a Mk3 Mondeo tank from a 2 litre petrol. It has the two required pipes at the top, and if I remember rightly the Scorpio pressure cap is a direct fit. I've seen that done on a Scorpio 2.3 estate. A little fiddly, but easily available from ebay or scrappys, and don't split as easy.

Ok guys, first of a big thank you to Dave for letting me into the site again and of course posting on my behalf ... 'twas btw not the 'Rolf from the Laos by Limo saga a long time ago' but Rolf from Holland to Taiwan by Boeing buying a second hand Scorpio Mk2 2.3L a long time ago thither saga. To the point now: my problem is solved ! Those eBay Ford sellers posted above are hopeless and won't even ship to Scotland so I got myself a second hand coolant reservoir coming from Latvia(!!) yesss, for 9 euro excl 46 euro DHL shipping oughhh, turning out it was one with THREE pipes for a Cosworth, with one pipe COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF (!!) what i hadn't noticed from the pic but which i could easily close with a small but good tight stainless screw with very fine screwthread, no sweat LOL, and everything sofar sogood. My next endevour will be getting my airco working again, so, firstly in need of a fan blower resistor and possibly also an AC expansion valve, not sure however. Now trying figgur out what's the partnumber for the resistor and if i can use an after market one like on the link below maybe ... http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/electronics-parts-822/1935808.html

I have a spare fan blower / resistor unit - used but believed to be in working order. P/N 95 GW 19ES24AA, made by Siemens

I'm confused as to which model we are talking about but IF it is our model there is an article Here which deals with the resistor in Aircon vehicles as distinct from Climate Control.

Thanks A lot for responding and advice guys, incredibly I got a 6636596 resistor from a LOCAL (!) car parts shop; installed it, compressor turned out to be fine; recharged the airco and we're cool again. another Q now if I may: is there anyone who can tell me what is the total liters coolant capacity of a 1996 Scorpio 2.3 ? I suppose this 'exact amount' info should be had from page 147 of the owners manual, but that page is just announced in the index but missing from the manual itself, as it skips from page 145 to 148 !

| Page 147 says 7.5 litres for the 2.3
