I thought I should formally introduce my-self to the forum after already posting two problems already, and  I was amazed at the response so far.

I have always been a Granada man ( 2 in  the last15 years) and it was while on holiday in Anglesey I parked next to this Ultima at the "Californian Inn" I had never taken very much interest in the Scorpio before, It was imacculate for an "N" reg, it was  coloured silver with a light interior not sure if it was leather or not, I had a good peek at it and  I was hooked at the splendour alone and not even driven one.

So from then on  I set out and looked out for one

October 2004, I purchased the 1997P Scorpio Ultima  Saloon 2.3i - blue  with black leather interior  with 48,000 on the clock.
It has been regually serviced by a Ford agent prior to purchase and came with full service history and a full set of keys.

Last year it sailed it`s MOT but this year it failed!!
[1] Uneaven tyre wear down to the canvass on the inside
[2] Off side rear parking failed - so
O/S/R Brake caliper and rear brake pad set.
[3] Intrim service and tracking plugs/seals/air filter/oil.
so this came too £456-56,
Two new Goodyear 225/50 16 ZR F1 tyres at £102-00 each.
And to top it all the Car Insurance pops through the door so in all, £50 short of £1,000.

And due to  recent knee surgery can`t even give it a spin for a few more weeks at least,  life can be so cruel when you love your Ultima.
podge.

PS, Was it one of the forum members in that pub car park in 2004??

Ditto the above.

I have spent a fair amount of time on Anglesey over the last 5 years and have to say there are loads of Scorpios there, mainly 94/95/96 Ultimas in dark colours! Wierd!  Smiley
