hi all, i have just managed to obtain an old bumper which has the standed ford parking sensors but alas, thats all it came with, my scorpio is standard so didnt have this originally, please can someone inform me what the other components are ie cpu screen or audio output, or is there a kit on the market that is compatible with said sensors. also is it possible to plumb the headlamp washer bumper set up, to the standard under bonnet washer resevouir setup, or will i require the bottle in the bumper. i know i ask alot but i know that this forum bares infinate knowledge. best rgrds carlos

Carlos, The parking sensor system is made up of the following: The two sensors (which you have) Boot mounted control box 4 core link cable Rear shelf mounted display/audio unit Wiring Loom Fitting instructions Without any of the other 3, what you have is pretty useless. I fitted a full parking system to my car but I removed all of the bits from a scrapper. There was a brand new full system which was still boxed sold on Ebay a few weeks ago. As for the bumper mounted headlight washers, you will nedd the full bottle from one which has these as standard because you need the high pressure pump and all of the various wiring and relay bits and pieces There are people on the list who would rip your arm off for the washer units as they tend to break quite easily and are a b****r to get hold of. If you don't want to go to all the trouble, advertise them there. Someone will want them Baz

Hi carlaki I had all the bits you needed except the rear shelf mounted display/audio unit, I managed to drop a gearbox ontop of that. I realised after you went that you would need the washer bottle as Baz said. Sorry about that but the washers are a gimmick anyway is it worth the hassel of setting them up? You need the washer units to plug the holes in the bumper or perhaps the tops glued over them. On Friday you could have had the lot but we run out of time as you know, still all there if you want it.
