24v engine into 12v car...

i own a 12v ultima est and a 24v ghia saloon but i want a 24v ultima est....how easy/hard to break my saloon and put 24v engine into my est?

YOu would have to move everything, loom, engine management, PATS, because it linked with the management system, probely have to get ford to reprogram it., all the gearbox sensors and other ones. I would say a complete nightmare but I changed a engine in a Seirra once and thought that was a nightmare. Good luck It is possible. JJ

Why not sell them both as they are now and buy a really good original 24v saloon? It'd be a better monster, a cheaper deal and more re-saleable. Or. Get a chainsaw and do some boot modifications. Or. If you're going to do an engine change.. go crazy. Go very crazy. Find the best cosworth engine you can and enjoy a very unique scorp. Insurance companies hate unoriginal engines/mods so if you're gonna make a change, make a big one! Ooooo
