I have after many unsucessful attempts I have manage to obtain another remote for my car, as the one I have is getting old like me and slightly worn...... I have always programmed my remote as per the instructions in the handbook. ( switch on to postition 1 and then press the unlock button... ding .... all done) When I came to programme the (new) remote I found that I was not able to do it.....(as per the instructions in the handbook) even if only doing the one..... . so to plan 'B' try ther other method and this time it worked..... So another lesson learned... The remotes have different identies and therfore I suspect that the newer one is primarily intended for the later models which are programmed as per the site instructions..... But this is something else learnt . Maybe my experience may help someone else who has a similar problem. But I now have 2 remotes and both working..... Ta very muchly to you all who founded all this.... yet again....
