can anyone help me by recommending the best way to remove the hub nut on the driveshafts please so i can split the hub and remove the trailing arm. It's like nothing i've seen before and kinda looks like it's had a tab washer pressed into it to keep it in place. Advice please guys.

the hub nut is just taken off with a normal socket 32mm if I remember  but its very tight at 200 ft lb... and remember to refit with STRONG thread lock compound as they are not left and right handed....

but other than that Scorpio man has given you the info.....it ALL there....

If you just want to  remove the drive shaft then there is no need to remove the bearing/hub assembly!!!.

Disconnect the drive shaft from the back of the hub,its held on via a flange and 6 torx bolts, leave the bearing intact in the hub.

The whole lot minus drive shaft, can be left in the trailing arm when it is removed.
