My Scorpio came with the remote which according to the previous owner had packed up at least three years ago (and wasnt replaced after a quick phonecall to the FMD ) Anyway I got it working with a bit of cleaning and some new batteries. Ive just noticed now that the door locks have gone a bit stiff due to not using the key anymore. Maybe it would be an idea to give the locks a turn every now and again just to keep them moving, as we've had a few posts in the forums recently that shows the problem doesnt really surface until the remote fails and you find you're locked out

I've had mine about a year now and it has just struck me that I have never put the key in any of the locks at any time. I'm just off outside to have a go... phew.... it works in all locks.

my passenger lock has never worked.. apparently due to exactly this,as to quite a few of the boot locks, just goes to show it makes us all lazy..... having said that, still get a buzz when opening the boot from a distance...

It's great to activate from a distance just when someone is walking past it , it sure makes 'em flinch.

| Interesting idea, or maybe place a coin on the back window ? Lots of possibilities for fun, games ( and compo. claims ).

Please don't open the boot at 40 yards in a ropey area or if there are some crack smoking chavs about....your cd changer will be out and gone before you get to the car!! Baz

I would lose.. I don't use the original remote as mine has an aftermarket alarm fitted.... Scorpion... Does the business but I can't program a normal remote as I have many flavours of conflicts happen and have on occasion totally locked myself out of the car.

| Excellent I like the idea of hinging from the bottom, could use it to splat the little brats who pass behind Paul
