Traction control ?

While rummaging in the centre console of my 96 2.0 Ultima I noticed the Multi-plug for traction control is there, although the switch is not fitted. Is there any likelyhood that TC is actually available on my car ( I believe it's tied in with the ABS system ) and all that's required is the switch, or am I slightly deluded ?

The TC switch is actually for switching it off not on. So I would have thought it isn't fitted as in slippery conditions you would definitely have noticed the TCS kicking the pedal back. Probably just part of the stock wiring harness fitted to the whole range with connectors for everything regardless of whether it is fitted.

hi there you'd see the huge (6 feet) throttle cable running around the engine bay. goes to a motor beside the near side headlight.

Andrew, Is that in addition to the cruise control cable?
