Hi,

I fitted one of these last year but mine had a fault. The wiring is exactly the same as the 7000 radio so will just plug in and power up OK. I now have the travelpilot which isn't quite as "touchy" as the VNR. You lose the steering wheel functions as these are different for the 7000 and VNR. As for problems; the unit itself is very big and a lot heavier than the 7000 radio so try and provide it with the means to hang onto the rail that the 7000 radio fits to. I used the plastic bit off my 7000 for this and it works OK, just a bit of a squeeze because of the size and weight!

The cd changer will work OK with your VNR and I mounted my antenna on the back parcel shelf and got a good signal.

You may be able to use copied disks and I may have a backup one somewhere but I had the genuine thing which must be the navtech one but as far as I know, TMC (The technology that routes you round traffic jams etc) is not yet available on the Great Britain CD

If you have anymore questions such as wiring diagrams etc. let me know and I will see what I can dig out.

Unfortunately, I sold the antenna to a guy in Paris, the german manual went to a guy in Belgium and the UK manual went to a guy in Poland so I don't have a lot left!!
