Hi all, Could someone please tell me what tyres sizes I should have on my 98 2.3 ultima auto estate? Currently the rear are 225/55/16 where as the fronts are 225/50/16. None match and the rears are wearing a little thin and need changing. Any one know of a cheap mail order place for tyres? TIA Wayne

Thanks scorpio-man, I was going to go with the 50's anyway to play it safe. 16's are so d**ned expensive don't you think-I wonder if it's cheaper in the long run to get 17" rims with 40 profiles on? Hmmmmmmmmm-gives me ideas

Would 205/55 R16 still be up for the job? on the http://www.mytyres.co.uk website there are Dunlop/Michelin/Bridgestone/Pirelli etc etc for £60 each plus p+p-an absolute bargain me thinks!

hi there size wise they would fit ok, but i wouldn't recommend them. ford didn't pick 225x50x16 for no good reason check the sizes out using this file....http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/alloyoptions.htm btw on the mytyres site, prices include p+p and VAT!

Thanks all, Nice bit of info there scorpio-man!??! I've now got 2 new tyres for the rear-225/50/16. Ordered from mytyres.co.uk and arrived a couple of days later-not bad for free P+P! I finally decided on the Nankang NS-1's, mainly for the price, but also as I have had these tyres before and they always perform well. Total cost for both was £77.20. How's that for a bargain ....just got to get them fitted now. Wayne
