I guess I am biased it will seem a little sluggish after the 2.9 but the 2.0 16valve covers the ground well enough and its more economical

I have a 2.3 saloon and my son-in-law the 2.0 estate. His feels definitely sluggish after driving mine. I also have a K reg 2.0 Granada saloon. S-i-L's estate also doesn't have the zing that has. To me, the 2.0 ultima is underpowered.
