hi there i'm just back in from replacing the n/s drop link. here are a few bits of advice.... the front drop links are availble from partco #0007754 (n/s). cost £14 +VAT (FMD £35+VAT). you'll need a 17mm spanner, 15mm, 17mm & 19mm sockets. a small grinder is handy if the nut(s) is siezed on. do both sides or you'll need a new tyre or two! about 30mins a side to do. Sparkplugs. if you suffer from a slight mis-fire on the 2.3, then check your sparkplugs! mine keep working lose! i'm getting to the stage of tightening them every other week! i've now put them back in without any copperslip. i'll see if this helps any.

Andrew... those drop links... hadn't you done yours once before? If so, what mileage did you get out of them? I ask because after 18 months since replacing everything up front, I have rattles/clonks again

hi paul no, i haven't replaced them before. i changed the o/f side in may (115k miles). i should've changed both as i've worn out a tyre now. the n/s side one pulled itself out of the ball joint. re your noise. what about the anti-roll bar bushes?

| Well, despite the originals appearing fine, I replaced them at the same time as the wishbones & droplinks. Somethings wrong again though. And, being the cheapest option, I guess the bushes would be the best place to start... again!
