Styling, anyone?
« on: Oct 15th, 2005, 10:50pm »

Like, I'm guessing, other Scorpio owners I've been looking fruitlessly for any kind of extra styling for my 1995. There are however some Scorpios out there that have been styled, some even outrageously so. So, my guess is that there are no styling kits (ie front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper) that will be an "instant fit" to these cars. Anyone have any information that my guess is incorrect? If so, I would really like to know about it  Wink

That said, is there anyone who recognize this? There are several pictures of it on the Estonian Ford Club's webpage. I am particularly interested in the front bumper, but I've yet to find anyone who knows what make etc it is. Can anyone here help?

Also, if anyone here have put some styling on their cars, I'd really like to hear about it. Especially what you bought, what you had to do to fit it on the car, and if you have a picture of the car, then so much the better  Smiley

Thanks a lot!

the car you picture is stunning (in my opinion) dont know who done it, but its photos are alredy here, somewhere, to the best of my knowledge there is no standard fit as such. people have tried many kits, some work, like above, and some are complete cr*p. you may need to go to a one off suplier to get something similar!

where is that silver/purple one that made us all cry?

With a little help from others I think I've narrowed it down to an RS2 front from the Audi.

I guess it will take some work to get it done right, but if it comes out looking like the Cosworth RS one it'll be worth it  Wink

Thanks for that. That's the RS4 bumper, which is quite similar.

Hmm...now, anyone know which car that was meant for? That is, which car has the same width as ours?

Hmmm well if your on a budget forget about the Audi bumpers unless you can find one damaged or cheap.
People will want a fair bit of money for them & it would be silly to attack it with a saw after paying £80+ for it. @

The first shots posted by nutty are absolutely hidious (IMHO).  Just take a look around the car and see who it appeals to,...spotty teenagers!  Tongue

Ultimate Chav wagon me thinks.

I personally think that the ld line,...'less is more' would apply to the Scorpio shape.  It's best look has to be only subtle body changes but with precision engineering mods all-round to make it a real sleeper Wink

I like the ones nutty posted but it would look better in either black or silver with the facelift headlights and grille.  IMO

Bit Boy-Racer ish in my opinion?

Would have thought if one was going to go down that road, perhaps a mondeo ST or fast Escort would be more suitable?  More parts/spares/cheaper?    Undecided

Yes,  quite agree.

The unique    "Look"   of the Scorpio is  what attracted  me to  it,  and  it's  wholly   vulgar   to   alter   it's   classic   lines   in   order   for  it     to  resemble   some  godawful   rap   artist's   pimpmobile.
