well i wasn't really, just a run o' mill crypton tuning etc, as it has started running lumpy around 30 mph when the engine is cold. It had a full service about 3 weeks ago but i was told the plugs etc were fine so they didn't change em, and was wondering if doing a tune could find out if anything was wrong with it. Andy

As we are nearing completion of my own 24v rebuild, I would also be looking for a similar kind soul to come and scan my car for error codes. Car is currently in Luton Bedfordshire, but I live just outside Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire,...anyone available with the necessary equipment in those areas? What would be a good way to go to get an extra 100bhp from the 24v without going turbo boosted?

An extra 100Bhp When I started driving the car of the moment was the Escort RS2000 which pushed out the grand total of 100Bhp... How times change

DJ with out boost mate the only route to 100 extra horses is extra capacity & I guess you don't want to rebuild your engine just yet A maxed out 2.9 block to 3657 cc with extra little tweaks will just give you 100 bhp extra at a push. Only other way is laughing gas but people have there own views on it. You either like it or you don't Thinking about it you would get close to 100 bhp if you could up the revs, you would need a girdle & a new E.C.U system thow & some porting Engine was used in touring cars & they got 300 bhp out of it as a 2.9?

Want more bhp from your Cossie? Take a look at this: http://www.topbossperformance.co.uk/v624coseng.htm Its a shame they had to de-tune it and so much more fun if they hadn't.

Hmm well Top boss only really do the Mk3 engine & the write up at the start is a bit of hype but have produced some good engines for people. Have had mixed recomendations from people as it appears some times they cut corners.
