Hope some one can help. I have a Gunsons Fault finder that I got Halfords the other day. They told me it was the correct one for a 95 Scorpio 2.9 with a cat, and indeed thats what it says on the box. However the plug is different to the one on the car un less I am looking at the wrong plug.
Is this the correct plug / socket:

It is above the rad on the right hand side of the car.

This is a pic of the Fault Finder I have ( hope these pics come out! )

Thanks for any help on this.

hi there

i thought the plug was closer to the battery? that's where it was on my sierra. Undecided

btw, you've got the 3 pin tester, so that's what to look out for. they do a 5 pin one as well.

Mike,

just an idea, but I read somewhere that some (all?) Fords have a plug that can be connected in the engine bay to make the fan run all the time. This ensures the engine stays cool if it is being worked on and running without actually driving anywhere.

It COULD be that maybe. Possibly  Grin
