WIND DEFLECTORS

Hi all, Some while ago, the subject of window, wind deflectors came up. Can't remember who bought them, but it was a smoker who like me gets an armful of water when it's been raining and has the window open slightly. Whoever it was, or anybody else that has bought or considered them, can they please advise me as to where they got them from and do they fit ok and do the job. Peter.

hi there this is the type i've got. http://www.extremeautoaccessories.co.uk/products_models.php?sec=1078 didn't get them there, though. costs about £50 a pair. had them for about 3 years now. only problem is letting them settle in for a wee while. drivers window can go back down a bit if using auto up. the car thinks the window has jammed. as i said, fine after a day or two. hth

Hi, Yes, I've looked at this site among others but no listing for the scorpios. Have you any pics you can show me fitted on the scorp. Peter.

As the sunroof cassette in the mk3 will transfer over to the Scorp, same dimension hole in roof you should be able to fit the 93 model, thats what I did. Geoff

I have them currently on the Scorpio now (front & back) having borrowed them from off my 1988 Granada. They fit exactly the same. Only problem is they do tend to squeek abit when the window goes up, but then again they always did on the Granada too.

Thanks all for the info and advice. A squirt of silicon spray sounds like a possible cure for any squeaky glass running. Peter.

Cheers for that. As you have bought them from Climair before and you say they are better quality I might go for them. In your opinion are they worth the extra dosh i.e. £50 as opposed to £25? Peter.

Yes, they are really good quality and fit well, worth the xtra. Recommended The one's from Germany are quite good, but they have a slighlty darker tint on them, and sit more flush to the window. " you get what you pay for" Oh, and i've also got the sunroof deflector and rear window deflector from them too. They are all about the same price.

| I must have been unlucky as mine too are climair but the back ones are a tad on the small size and had to be bonded on to stay in place, both on the Scorpio & the Granada. Don't know if this is telephone number is correct anymore but here goes: HTH Mike

That picture was took last summer. It's a lot more shiney now!! lol Yeah, forgot the mention that about the back one's. They do have to have trim tape applied to the top edge. I think this is because, you don't have to bend them to fit them, unlike like the front ones. So there is no tension to hold them in.
