scorpio electrics

i know that the engine looms on these cars are all different but does anyone know if the electrics inside the car share the same basic loom,wireing to ecu behind dash/wireing to fuseboxes that sort of thing. i would have thought that good old ford would have put a basic harness in all of these cars and then just plug in the looms that that model needed,say if one car on the production line is 24v and the nexts a 2.0 etc. so does anyone know for sure as i want to do a swap 2.3 to 2.9 24v.

There are differences and though I dont know myself previous threads have indicated this is a major undertaking, its not just an engine replacement job

my sons mate works at fmd hes looked into this for me and it seems [going by reg numbers]these two different cars do share the same basic loom inside the car so it may be poss to do what i want to do.so time to mot test them both and see which ones the best....
