well everyone,as painfull as it is,we have decided to sell our beloved scorpio, probably e-bay will be the best option we think, but i was thinking when the time comes to put a reserve on it,any guide prices please...Huh?
few quick details,2 previous owners,89,000 miles with  FULL detailed service history, you all know what it looks like (sat nav will be sold seperately,as will the steering wheel,we need to try to get as much back as possible),just had it's 90,000 service (£257.00),full facelift, bar 3rd centre seat belt and side airbags, does have the door and puddle lights though, only real bad point, slight bubbling on 1 of the rear arches,DVD and headrest screens will go with the car.....
any opinions anyone   Huh

If it were mine, I'd have a 2 grand reserve on it.

Two months ago I bought my 1998 2.3 Ultima facelift. One owner from new (West Ham Utd football club). 132000 miles, new engine & gearbox at 98000 miles (receipt). Interior needed a good clean (mud from football boots). Air-con didn't work (still doesn't but hopefully a re-gas will sort that out). Service history up to 78000 miles. A couple of scuffs on both front & rear bumpers. A couple of very small dents in boot lid just above lights. 2 months MOT & Tax. 4 legal tyres (two brand new).
How much did I pay for this beast......£1200!!
For a new MOT (29.99 from local garage) I replaced the front discs & pads....£55.00, rear pads...£16.99, front drop bars....14.99 each.
Also a good service with 5W/30 semi synthetic oil (old oil flushed out), oil filter, air filter, pollen filter & new spark plugs at £8.00 each.
From buying it to it being completely road worthy it cost me just under £1400.......not bad eh.
Since then a few problems have surfaced, but nothing life threatening.

not really paul,i am 100% concentrating on getting another vehicle at the moment, mine is a little different as you know, fully facelifted (bar the side air bags, and that elusive 3rd seat belt, but i do have the door and puddle lights  Wink),privacy windows,89,000 genuine with a full and comprehensive hisory,DVD player and headrest screens that will go with the car, ford demo and 1 previous owner,EVERYTHING works,as does every bulb/switch (bit of a perfectionist as you know),would love to get near the 2 grand mark, but will probably list on good old ebay when the time come (basically for the exposure),and let the auction do the rest.. Undecided, will certainly not be going down the part ex route though, pretty sure of that... Wink

Well, as I said before, I reckon yours is worth 2 grand. Its got to be. Especially when you look at what others have fetched on there.
You need some really good photos to try to show how good it really looks.
Yeah, that'll sell.  Smiley

I Bought another facelift Scorpio the other day. 2.3 Ghia X with 150k on the clock for next to nothing. No MOT but taxed for 2 months. Owner thinks it has a headgasket problem!! I can either fix it or sell it for bits!
