How's the ride comfort with 18" rims? Any excessive tyre wear? Any other side effects?

Was planning on swapping my 15"s to 17" "soon", but 18s do look nice.

ride is a lot firmer as the falken rubber tends to feel that way. but another factor is I have brand new uprated Avo springs on -30mm and new gas shocks ..so subjectively its difficult to really tell you...on a new road surface and lots are down here at mo ..its sweet ..but on a poor track its awful...the grip from these falkens is wonderful. just to be safe I changed both rear bearings b4 the alloys went on as was worried about extra stress on them ...
