very common problem on the new mondeos, but at lease you can get the bushes now, up to reciently you had to replace the beam.

I think Ford do know about these problems but havn't got around to putting a recall out. My Y reg new shape Mondeo (which I just sold) failed the MOT on a n/s seized handbrake cable. Rather than replacing it, I sprayed loads of 3in1 oil down the cable sleeve and then push/pulled the cable in & out until it freed itself, that did the trick. If the rubber seal is broken at the end of the cable then obviously water gets in & rusts up the cable sleeve.

yes you can get the bushes, but they,ve still got to be pressed in and you risk crushing the cradle. Also you,ve got to use the bonding agent and it has to set for 24hrs before you do any more!!
