hi there

with summer nearly on us, i thought it would be a good idea to remind member about a/c servicing.

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acrecharge.htm

remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system. remember to run the a/c for at least 30 minutes every month to allow the oil in the gas to circulate around the system.

imo, there's not much saving to be made (mpg) with it off. most of the parts are very expensive if it breaksdown through lack of use. recon compressor £250, dryer £60, thermistor £60, regas £40-£60, etc.

a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year. a regas should be done every 2-3 years as the system will lose about 25% of gas every year.

Good   advice,     beware though Embarassed,    there are  a few garages who advertise and  claim  to  empty  the system,  re-gas,   re-oil,    put dye in  and  check for leaks but really only  do  a  10minute  gas   top-up  and  charge  you  55 knicker.

Steer clear   and  go  for  recognized  A/C specialists,   I've  found  LSUK  ( Lucas of old )    to  be  very   reliable.

The guys name is Ray but based in high wycombe, which I think is a bit far for you paul as he does not travel. What you would spent on fuel would far outweigh any saving on the re-gas Sad

Just a quick question, how is the oil topped up. Because at everry "AC car specialist" over here, they never heard of such thing  Shocked. All the know & do is check the pressure and "top-up"  Undecided

With mine, it was done automaticly by the machine, which I think is 260g and mixed with the gas as it is filled. I would check around because you have guys that will travel and do the works, the downside is that they can be expensive. Most quotes I had were £75-£85 in the Bucks/North London area.

hi there

sometimes (changing compressor, etc) it can be added at the knuckle next to the expansion valve. that way the oil rolls straight down into the compressor.
