Front lower suspension arm

Can anybody give me any advice on changing my nearside front lower sus arm. My car failed on the ball joint in a recent mot and sods law as you all know, i.ve had to buy the whole lower arm to rectify the problem. I'm no stranger to jobs like this i've just never done one on an Ultima before and i would like to simplify things for myself by hopefully learning from other peoples past experience prior to starting the job. Many thanks to anybody in a position to help. Steve

I suggest a decent socket set, a torx socket for the pinch bolt and a ball joint splitter ( I prefer the one shaped like a tuning fork as you can give it a good whack with a hammer ). If poss best to get a new pinch bolt in case of trouble with the old one. It's plain sailing as long as all the old bolts come off easily, some posters have had trouble with a rusted up front wishbone securing bolt. Remember always tighten up the bolts ( except the pinch bolt ) when the car is back on the ground. Good Luck.
