Sat nav and a heated front screen

24v Cosworth has a heated front screen. Has anyone tried one of these portable sat nav systems, Tom-tom etc? as there are warnings around that the heated front screen (with embedded wires) may prevent the sat signal?

Anyone use a portable satnav in a Cosworth?

People do use these systems in the scorpio, Eric has installed the Tom Tom 300.

I think you have to put the aerial to the side of the screen where the wires do not actually run across.

Hope this helps  Smiley

I don't know about the heated front screen, but I have a GPS aerial behind my heated rear screen, and I generally get a good reception with 8-10 satellites.

I use a ford built in travelpilot system and have the antenna mounted on the rear shelf on top of one of the speakers and never had an issue
