Lights, wipers, indicators suddenly gone?

Hi all. First post on here. Brilliant site for Scorpio owners. Please keep up the good work. I must share with you my recent experience which it seems a few Scorpions have experienced. I had a few strange electrical niggles on my 1995 24V Scorpio so I decided a check on fuses and relays on the drivers side fusebox was in order. Well everything seemed fine and a little cleanout with some electrical cleaner... job done. or so I thought. Started the vehicle and to my horror no lights, no wipers but the hazards were working. This was a nightmare as it was getting dark and starting to rain . Well over the next week I desperately checked the fusebox again and was on the verge of taking it out... but then as I was about to throw in the towel and take it to the garage I realised what I had done..... all along it was the large multiplug on the front of the fusebox that I had disconnected. I wasn't putting it in properly. On the multiplug on the side the large wire bundle enters into it there are (male) protrusions that must be uated under (female) protrusions on the housing where the multiplug sits BEFORE the opposite end is pushed in with the metal clip. This ensures the multiplug is evenly pushed into all the metal contacts. It can't just be pushed in, as I was previously doing. It seems so obvious now but at the time I hadn't realised. I hope this helps anyone unfortunate enough to experience the same problem on their vehicles after removing the multiplug.

This Multi-Plug has been pin pointed as the guilty culprit in many electrical ( especially when it has been disturbed ) problems experienced by posters.
