My Taxi insurance on the Scorp was £980 fully comp with a £1,000,000 (yes, 1 million quid) public liability cover, & £300 excess.

I tend to drive very carefully & within the speed limits Grin

pretty much the same as me jonny, im 940 with 9 yrs no claims, a million public liability, and 300 excess.  Dont wanna have to claim on it either.... they would probably give me less than the premium back if i had to claim on it!!

yes look on confused.com as already mentioned ..exc web site ..does all the work for u..however it wont bring your quote down if your young and have points etc..have you got an alarm and immob..is it off road at night..if they dont like the postcode you live in they ll bump it up ..same goes with your job and mileage..for example they love a librarian and hate insure a journalist. make the car near imp to steal and haggle with them saying they ll only have to pay out in the event of a crash by you..have you tried a pass plus certificate ..gets u 10 % off so does a n advanced driving cert...

there u go something to chew on for a bit but ultimately these ppl are thieving gangsters and its legal theft Im surprised they are not all nicked for demanding money with menaces!!! Agree

Unfortunately  it also depends where you live. Undecided

I  live in  a  small  Scottish  town where  car crime  is,  thankfully,  relatively  rare   so   I'm   fully  Comp   for   £160,  I doubt  it would   be that  cheap   if  I  lived  in  a    inner city   housing   estate    in   Leeds   or  Glasgow.

940?  Blimey, does that make you the oldest scorpio driver here?  hehe

Quinn Direct (Northern Ireland) was my cheapest option by far. They were really undercutting everyone else this time last year, might still be too.

the cheapest i have found is to marry a man with a trade insurance cover and have your name added as an extra driver free of charge!! definately the best way to insure a scorpio!
