Main fusebox interchangeability?

Hi all My question is prompted by a problem with one of the dip lights to my scorpio. The mechanic who works on my car has got it working again on more than one occasion but on this last occasion he said that I needed to get another fusebox. Guy (guyathome) on the list has kindly agreed to supply the fusebox from his scrapped 2.5td scorpio but neither of us are certain that it is compatable with the fusebox for a 2.0 litre 16v ultima. Can anyone in the community help with advice on this question, please? Thanks Kevin

Not sure about the main fusebox, but the battery fusebox seems to be different (less internal connections on the diesel) - however the difference is likely to be less on the main 'box. Darren

Thanks for the reply Darren I think I'll chance it and get the replacement fusebox. Logically it would make sense from a component supply point of view that Ford have just one fusebox which is adaptable to more than one version of the car rather having different types of fusebox. Is there a member out there who owns both a 2 litre 16v and and 2.5td Scorpio who might compare the 2 fuseboxes? Kevin

Is it a 2.0 16v fusebox you need?
