I've noticed, since driving through a heavy and prolonged downpour, that the PATS light on the dash stays on all the time. No other problems reported, I'm suspecting water ingress, there is dampness at the bottom of the windscreen , any ideas where the PATS gubbins is situated so I can check for water. I don't really want starting and security problems later on .

IF your car is a diesel then also check the intertia cut-off switch (will also prevent double-locking from working if it is this). Obviously it won't be this if petrol as the engine wouldn't start! Darren
