Blue Dashboard Thingy.

Ever since I bought my car back in March of this year, I've wondered about this blue thing at the top right side of my dashboard. It doesn't press in like a button, so presumably it must be a light !!

Anyone seen anything like it can offer me an idea of what it might be?

The original alarm is fitted and working but it's not linked to this, so God knows what it is.

Edit: Bah, should wait until the picture loads before I answer  Wink

It's definately not original. Haven't seen anything like that on a scorp before.

Edit2:
Could it be the base mount for a note holder? (holding parking notes, etc in place?)

It's a standard fitting and it's the 'Sun Load' sensor. Read THIS.

BRILLIANT:   Thanks Simmo  !!

Never heard of a Sun Load Sensor before. Wonder what the hell THAT does!!

Maybe it's to tell me when the sun's shining.... ROFL  ROFL

I must have been lucky with this car because it has ALL the spec from every model I've ever seen, including the SATC climate control, kerb lighting etc etc. I think the original owner must have asked for the full package when it was new, so I've done very very well with it.

Thanks again. Another mystery solved.  Grin

And if you read THIS it will explain the role of the sun load sensor in detail.

Thanks again Simmo.

I'm now even wiser, and was very interested to read this. It's quite amazing what these cars have in them.
