Rear brake calipers

Are the rear brake calipers interchangeable? (16v saloon) I ask because I plan on replacing the right hand one this weekend, and if possible, do an overhaul on that one and swap the left one with the overhauled caliper.

No the left one will only fits on the left and the right only on the right. Remember to screw the pistons in, I made a tool to do it, but if they are free enough you can sometimes do it with pin nose pliers.

Thats £2 well spent when I made the tool, for a Granada back brakes, I could not find one to buy. If you are going to change the brake fluid at the same time syphon out the master cylinder tank first and refill with new then only new will enter the system.
