Heated seats

The drivers side heated seat no longer works on my '94 Grananda Scoprio (old shape). I've checked the wiring plug and there is voltage across it, so I assume it's the heated element that needs replacing. Is it possible to confirm this by testing the resistance across the heated pad connector? If it is faulty, is it difficuly expensive or difficult to change the pads? Many thanks

Yes you can check the resistance with a Multimeter. The pads on these seats are a bit of a S O D to change. You need to remove most of the lower seat trim to do it. I did the drivers side on my Granada Ghia 2.4i a few years ago. It took quite a while!! Don't know what price they are now, but all joking aside, you MAY find it cheaper getting another seat from Ebay or a breakers!!
