Hi All Has anyone done this conversion as my cassette player is broken, and the conversion to a 7000 unit looks scary due to the integrated amp. Yours electricly challenged David

David, I'm no expert on the units so please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought all the x000 units had integrated amps. You'll need new connectors or a replacement radio loom but I know it can be done, the later ones are improved in the sound department. Regards, Bruce.
