wishbone bushes

Just a quick question....

There is a clonk on un-even roads coming from the N/S/F.
I've had a look underneath & there appears to be vertical movement in the wishbone rear bush (one under securing bracket).

Can this bush be replaced without having to replace the whole wishbone ?  Smiley

Cheers Gary....I was thinking of doing both anyway.

I replaced the drop links a few months ago, but did check 'em anyway & they're fine.

The clonk is defo the wishbone bush, as when I got under the car (on ramps), I pushed the wishbone up & down & could see it moving inside the bush, & if I gave it a whack with the palm of my hand I could hear & feel it clonk  Smiley

Any idea how much they are from FMD ?

they're about £110+vat each Shocked

i replaced both front and rear bushes on mine but in the end of the day, the ball joint has done the same mileage. handling improved for a while, then my tyres went on the inside edge!!!
i always say change the whole wishbone now. only true cure, imo.

Just bought some from Trevor @ Fordpartsuk, the prices were
Scorpio 2.3DOHC-Front Suspension Arm Bushes (Rear)
Part Number:   7307905 (QTY 2)
Retail Price:     £14.23each
You Pay:    £12.10each
Scorpio 2.3DOHC-Front Anti roll Bar  Bushes
Part Number:   7260108(QTY/24)
Retail Price:     £4.03each
You Pay:    £3.43each

originals in Ford bags. Fitted in minutes and restores the quality steering. You must tighten all the bolts with the car weight on them DO NOT do tighten with wheels dangling in the air. You MUST get the tracking checked after fitting because they will affect the geometry.

I think Andrew means for the complete wishbone, the bushes individually are priced as Bertie says

Cheers guys...I'm familiar with wishbone changing procedure (did the wifes Mondeo last year)........it's just that I didn't want to shell out for the whole wishbone if I could get away with just replacing the bush. Smiley

Shocked

I payed  £37 each incl vat (for the bushes) from a factors less than a year ago. (And they had the ford motorcraft logo stamped all over, so they turned out to be original ford parts)

Could you double check that, as my understanding is that only the bush for the rear wishbone (the one clamped by 4x bolts under a saddle) is available as a separate item.  The front bush on the wishbone is only available with the wishbone.
