Any one fitted a remote engine starter module into a Scorpio? If so how do you wire it in to the existing alarm system and which one did you use.

I fitted one to the bike, though it was a built in feature of the alarm system - facinating to watch the reactions from a hundred yards away, as it cranks and starts up with no one touching it

A mate of mine fitted it to his Mondeo, always good to see the looks on people's faces when you walk along and start the car from 30 feet away. With the Scorpio's remote range though I wouldn't get too hopeful about working it from more than 6 feet away The courtesy headlamp mod is far more useful, legend has it that I have one fitted to my XJ, previous owner swore it works, must be a sticking relay he says; it's next on the list after the amnesia suffering folding mirrors and the jammed headlamp flashers I like a well loaded motor as much as the next person but I'm becoming of the opinion that the more gizmos it has the more often those lovely interior trim fittings and fusebox covers have to be attacked by a screwdriver I'll ask my mate when I see him, I believe he had it wired into an aftermarket alarm along with remote locking. Regards, Bruce .
