Hi, looking to get all the discs and pads done on my cossie. Could someone confirm the exact dimensions, i know the fronts are 278mm and rears 273mm but what thickness should they be and what offset do you need? Can you use ones qouted for the Escort Cosworth?(Same sizes)or is the offset different?. Don't want to spend a fortune but must be able to get ones other than OEM that are cheaper and just as good, any suggestions? Guy.

Fronts are 278x24. I have a pair of BRAND NEW ventilated ones which I bought in error for my 12v 2.9. If you have any way of collecting them (OR HAVE SOMEONE WHO TRAVELS DOWN THIS WAY) (I'm in Devon), you can have them. I reckon the postage would be too steep to make it worthwhile posting them, but as I say, they are yours if you want them.

Thanks for the offer but Devon would be well out of my way! Sure someone near to you could use them though.

| I'm pretty sure the rear size quoted (253mm) is for the 2.9 12V, the cossies are bigger on the rear.

The Focus st170 for some reason(Smaller car) has bigger brakes than the scorpio cosworth 300mm front 280mm rears, sits on standard 17's so might have looked a bit weedy otherwise? guy.

hi there a lot of cars are going the 'big brakes' way. new mondeo are 300mm also. that being said, our scorpio brakes could be said to be a bit small for the size of the car. one of the reasons i went for the 'sporter' ones. hth

If your interested, i work for Ford so could get you a standard set of F/R discs and pads for roundabout 50% off what FMD quote, plus whetever the p&p would be on top. Still be cheaper than buying from a FMD Matt
