Before doing anything with the airbag disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes More here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/airbags.htm

I think that is something to do with centering the steering wheel. If you are scrapping the car then don't worry about that.

Hi I've changed the stalks without taking the Steering wheel off . You need a longish (8") phillips driver and a short stubby one. Remove the steering column shrouds top and bottom. This exposes the stalks. They are held in place by two screws each Turn the wheel to allow the long screwdriver to engage the screws and undo them Then unclip the elctrical connector, tricky, it's got a locking clip but you can see how to undo it. The left hand stalk is trickier than the right hand one because it wraps around the cloumn a bit but once the screws are undone a bit of judicious turning, rotating anf jiggling will free it. Best of luck and you won't need to remove the steering wheel Best Regards Tony

Fraid not, would guess you will need a socket to get at it though, spanner may not allow access.
