Gear selector differences

Chaps,
got a 24v on which the gear selector mysteriously got damaged when out of my hands for an hour  Works fine but 2 of the the little fins that slide around to hide the gubbins underneath appear to have broken/fallen out of place.
I am going to have a look and see if they can be clipped back in but, failing that, are the gear selectors from the 2.0 and 2.3 the same? They look the same but guess that doesn't mean much
