I have a Ford price list for facelift models, will look it out when I get home tonight and post it on here. I have the original receipt for mine (the one in the pic below) price was £33,350! which is the most expensive i've seen so far. It is facelift 24v Ultima with nearly all the extras though

Bill for my 2.3 came to £23,950 as I remember, bog standard 2.3 Ultima auto non-leather but with the passenger airbag and one or two other goodies (more detail escapes me ) With most luxury cars, the original owners suffer horrendous depreciation in the value, their loss is our gain I guess. Regards, Bruce.

| Most likely That one has reversing sensors, electric passenger seat, headlamp washers, side airbags, 12 spoke alloys, manual headlight levelling. Heres the VIN number which says it was a May 98 build but Microcat says it was June 98?? WF0FXXGAGFWJ86526 Cost new £33,350 (company car) after two years it was sold to a private owner for £17,500 then four years later I bought it for £1,500 Some big depreciation hits there!

Highlander.... all those were standard features on the 98 build Ultimas. There was less than £1000.00 worth of optional extras available at the end of production... even the wood/leather steering wheels and RS seat packs had been discontinued so quite how they got your to £33,000+ is a mystery. Or a bloomin good salesman!

my july 98 24v ultima was 28 months old when i bought it with 24,000 mls on it, came with a ford direct 12mth warranty and 12 mth RAC cover, paid £8995 for it , did i pay over the top ?. i looked for ages and bided my time for the right one, don,t regret it one bit beats all the newer models of cars nowadays. the only thing it,s missing are the door/kerbside lights .baz once told me that some of the very last models were missing a few bits as they ended production.

.... and the radiator fluid level indicator (they even took the LED off the circuit board inside the clocks cos I had to solder one on when I fitted it to mine!) There were a few other bits left off from the very early models. The early (1994/95 builds) had elastic straps built into the side walls to hold the all important gloves or tow rope. Highlander, the only real options available on the Ultimas was the ones listed on the price list you show above. so only really a few hundred quid (plus the air time contract I guess!!)

Big old cars are gr8 value if you can stomac repair bills and fuel costs... I used to have a 10 year old Volvo 850T5 that cost me £1350.. The equivilent car now ( V70R ) would cost 44K!!! TT

| Not found those yet, are they (supposed to be) in the boot somewhere? Responding to the other point made- Big old cars just keep on going, they have much longer legs than the small cars.
