Sounds a good one, is it the facelift model? Ultima is the top spec, 2.3 possible the commonest engine size at a guess. Show us a pic

Cleave. The 2.3 was introduced in mid 1996, I had one of the first I believe, June '96 2.3 Ultima. Production continued until mid 1998, some cars not being sold until late 1999 I have heard. Yours isn't a facelift but very nice though, the facelift was de-chromed, had a different style grille and rear lights, tinted headlamps and revised bumpers. Not many facelifts about, these are what you're getting confused with Don't ask about the value, you don't want to know mate . I just sold my 2.3, not as mint as yours (dark blue, no leather) but in very good order, I had to let it go for £900 and then I was lucky. I had it valued for £2500, just in case it might have made a difference if some little uninsured oik had rear ended me Regards, Bruce.

thanks for the warm welcome.Nah imthe boy racer...if ya can call 40.ish a boy, although they say u r only as old as the woman your feeling? lol.Now i c the differences in the facelift and the standard.Ive owned alot of cars most of em newer and had some real hi tech motors too.Cauld'nt believe the gadgets in these cars they were miles ahead of there time and still today alot of top end cars dont have some of the gizmos these car have.My aim now is to keep is as good as my father did as it means so much to me to be behind the wheel he was behind.Regardless of cost it shall stay on the road as we all need to make sure it goes down in history as one of the classics ...i wanna c in 20 years time it listed with the classics like the escort mexico...capri 3.0stickford and the mk1 cortinas........so when she finally does need surgery i know where to come for help eh?
