I am installing a 24v BOB Cosworth engine into another vehicle. HOw do i get round the wiring problems? Can i get the PATS disconnected or do i have to have it wired in? Also has anyone else fitted one of these engines into something else? & how did you wire it in! Cheers

... I am NOT an expert by any means, but i have learnt that without the original ecu/PATS/Key fob, it is practically impossible.... I am having one installed and using a Megasquirt mappable ECU... Ford made it so secure, the BOB doesn't like running outside it's original body ..... good luck, let us know how you get on....

Megasquirt is the best lo cost option. It should run reasonably well on a BOA ecu too. And if you take it to a chip tuner they should eb able to tweak the EEC-IV. TT

Yes, as said you can wire it using a BOA eec4 but you will loose the VIS,as the BOAs did not have VIS (same for megasquirt)You could use a shiftlight to turn it on though??.It sould be possible to have the PATS removed from the ecu though
