Tony, The only reference I know of on the site is HERE. No mileage figure is given but it would seem to coincide with a 'big' service. They can affect the efficiency of the air con but I guess in most cases its a case of checking it to see what state it is in and taking it from there unless you are having particular problems with the efficiency of the air con.

hi there i mind reading somewhere it should be every 6 months or so. i do mine yearly, though. remember to put a treatment though the system at the same time. hth btw, the wifes (really mine now ), honda civic really could do with being changed every 6 month by the state they get into. a quick hover and i get another 6 months out of them.

I usually change mine beginning of summer then at the end when they're all full of pollen and dust, they don't cost much and if you're a hayfever sufferer the less pollen getting into the car the better! Matt

ok thanks for the advice.. the air con is working fine but i have not changed the pollen filter in 2 years
