water pump going

for some reason when i stop the car and leave it i lose all the water from the filler tank and there is water on the floor, could this be the water pump, if so can anyone tell me the part number as i already have one but wnat to make sure its the right one before i tear it apart.

could be a few things, i guess.  Huh
 
mine was doing that, turned out to be the seam on the radiator (didnt leak when cold, didnt leak when hot, only when warming up or cooling down). normally only lost a bit, but twice emptied the lot.

the gasket cost under £5.00
had to change oil + filter £25.00
my mate did the job for £30.00

When you pull up somewhere with a hot engin, open the bonnet and then turn off the engine. Have a look and see where the water comes from.
I hate to say this, but it sounds to me like over pressurization of the water system, and we all know what causes that.!!
I hope not though, expecially after all you hafe been through with the gearbox

theres no sign of a blown gasket, its been doing this on and off for the past two years now

My 24v started dumping water, intermittent at first, then constantly - turned out to be the water pump. Had the pump done at a garage as it needed a few bits. The pump itself is, IIRC, held on by 5 bolts. Apparently the bolts needed some gentle heat to get them to shift but access doesn't look too dire.
