hi everyone,with the onset of the first real snow ive seen since i had the scorp thought i'd try her in ermm..the snow flake symbol lol.The car stuck to the road like glue.It got me thinking i know what the e s etv stand for but what actually happens mechanically speaking when i engage each one........silly question i spoze but im a information freak sorry Undecided Huh

your "snow flake symbol" as far as i'm aware disables 1st gear to reduce the risk of wheelspin.
 
E is economy (default)
S is sport which lets the engine rev to 6000rpm before the gearchange  keeping you in the powerband longer for quicker acceleration  Grin

Sport mode makes the box hang onto the gears for longer than economy mode, kickdown to the redline is available in economy too though Wink
 
It's also a good way of draining the tank of petrol and making you poor, that's the reason it's put there Wink

Yep thats how i remember it the snow flake button looks pretty, economy botton I wish and the sport button, sure I read some where that its only to be pressed by wealthy people within five miles of a petrol station Grin

Close to 35mpg in the summer when taking it easy, and 22mpg during the winter with a not-so-light right foot  Grin
