Can anyone let me know if heated seats are fitted as standard or were they an option. My 24v Ultima does not appear to have them.I checked in the handbook and it shows 2 switches, one either side of the handbrake in the centre console. On mine these are not there nor are there any blanking plates in place of switches. Roy.

In the gubbins that came with my car it said they were fitted as standard (in mid '96) but only with the leather seats... ...I had lowly raven velour so no warm bum for me

Hi all,Just checked out Mikes thread and it states that leather indeed was an option with heated front seats.Mine is full leather this is what is confusing me. Roy.

You could be lucky and find that the previous owner lost or broke the seat heater switches. Take the centre console tray out and look for the two redundant electric multi -plugs.

Thanks,I will take the centre console out and have a look but looking at the console itself there is no evidence of there ever been switches fitted.

You need the loom out of a car that has heated seats to replace the loom in front of the passenger seat and the relay that fits inside the centre consul, two heated seat switches and of course two heated seats. the plug is under the carpet just by the passeger seat really easy to get to . If you look at the two looms you will see an extra wire in the heated switch loom. the seats are just a staight forward swop. HTH
