Can someone help. I need to remove Distributor cap on my V6 12V Ultima to check for condensation. Have removed the 2 screws inside the metal can but nothing comes away! How does one get the cap off? Thanks.

It just lifts off when you have undone the two screws.

I had to wiggle mine to free it. But it will come off. Its a lot of fun transferring the leads to a new cap, if you decide it needs one.

Thanks for the advice, have discovered that the metal screeining can is fixed by spring clips and just pulls of after removing the plug and coil leads. Then you can undo the screws and lift off the cap and rotor arm. They don't make things easier as cars get more modern!
