Well, after failing to get a used VSS, i bit the bullet and went to Mr Ford in the form of Sandicliffe Motors of Loughborough. They actually had one in stock and just over £70 changed hands. (Hell, it doesn't even have the gear wheel fitted to it.) Still, it'll probably work out cheaper than fines and points while i dont know how fast i am going. Ian

I could have got u one for about £45-50ish on employee discount from Ford plus whatever the p+p would have been. If anyone else needs one (or any other bits) let me know Matt

Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing? I had put postings under parts wanted and asked all those breaking Cossies with no joy (Without a hundred odd mile round trip to remove one myself, so thought it was wise just to nip down the road for one in the end. Nice to know there is someone around who can get trade prices though. Thanks Ian

Fitted it today!!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This part has pretty much been shot since i got the car, and i thought that the gearbox could have been better in kicking down and i thought that whilst the car was pretty d**n quick, it could have been a lot better and a lot quicker off the mark. WELL NOW IT IS!! This is now a COMPLETELY different car, a missile to be precise. God, i love it. Its grin factor 10 now Yee Haa. Best £70 i ever spent Ian
