I have been offered a gas conversion off a 1994 v6 scorpio. Thats pre frog eye. Will this work on my v6 95 scorpio Frog eye version. Also I have been told they suffer from back fire and this causes damage to the sensor. Any help welcome

hi there it should fit. and yes, if not fitted/setup correctly can damage more than a sensor! do you know anything about the lpg system? are you fitting it yourself? you know it needs to be checked at an approved fitting centre for the insurance? hth

Sounds like a very old system is it a sequencial system as this is the best type. I had a Prinz system fitted to my 2.3 and it's brilliant never had any problems with it at all. However it was fitted by Autogas Yorkshire and cost £2000. They need to be fitted and set up correctly or you can do megga damage, they need to be backed up by a certificate which you have to submit to your insurance, cost me another £80. Then they need to be serviced yearly with pipe checks and filter changes etc then every rubber pipe and clip needs to be changed every 5 years.... It certainly isn't cheap in the initial outlay but the bonus is realised in your fuel bills. My engine seems to run very smoothly and more powerful although it is a different engine to when I first had the conversion done. Ho and one last bonus, especially if you live in or visit London or anywhere else wher they have congestion charges, the LPG car is exempt..... It really needs to be fitted proffesionally Hope this helps Pete
